Volvo has unveiled its second electric car on 2nd MARCH 2021. This all-new C-40 recharge shares the same CMA platform as the Volvo xc-40 recharge. It also uses the same powertrain as the xc-40 recharge and the Polestar 2.
The C-40 recharge produces 408 hp and 660 NM from a 204 hp electric motor mounted on each axle. Volvo has limited its top speed to 180kph and this does a 0-100 in just 4.9 sec.
The 78kwh lithium-ion battery pack offers an estimated range of 418 km or 210 miles. This battery pack can be charged by an 11kw AC charger or 150kw DC charger. Getting a quick top-up 0%to 80% takes just 40mins. Volvo claims the range of the vehicle can be improved by over-the-air software updates.
The Volvo C40 recharge becomes the first completely leather-free Volvo. Interiors as identical to the Volvo xc-40 recharge. this gets Volvo’s latest Android-based infotainment system with built-in google apps. And will continue to get over-the-air software updates
Volvo has officially announced the production will begin fall of 2021 in Belgium. the first deliveries are to begin by the end of 2021 and will be delivered to the buyers who pre-ordered the vehicle.
