Pickup truck body types, seat layout explained

Pickup trucks or lightweight vehicles are the vehicles with enclosed cabin and open cargo area. Cargo area is with low sides and tailgate to ease loading and unloading of the component. There are many names for different body types the purpose is simplify and align them based on Interior cabin size and seat design layouts. The interior seating layout is heavily influenced by the cabin size. Truck manufactures have categorised body by different names. The pickups body is popularly categorised as

  • Regular cab / Single cab: This cab features 2 doors and a single row of seating.

This body type main purpose is minimum cabin space and a maximum cargo space. The interior features independent or bench seat for 2 or 3 occupants.
